......I thought this was interesting.

Mother Nature is an interesting lady!

I purchased this spalted maple bowl block recently, and had a "double-take"! :cool2:

I'm seeing a map of the world in it! :D

Posted only for general interest to the forum.........

If anyone sees anything in their own wooden "ink blotches", let's see 'em!

(Sigmund Freud would be impressed!)

I see a mouse.:cool2:

Easy on the rodent representations. :p

Nice piece of wood, OD. Doesn't look like it's going to have soft spots, either. It's a short trip from spalt to spoilt. If you're talking Pangea, maybe there's a resemblance. If you had a big enough bandsaw maybe you could work a nice panel to put inside a turned frame for a jewelery box. Scroll up the mid-Atlantic ridge and pivot E and W from the N pole.

One of my favorite "cloud" pictures.
