Greetings fellow Turners! I’m Mike, a somewhat new woodworker and very new to turning. Im retired military, living in mid Missouri just east of Springfield. I took a class in St. Louis and fell in love with the pure joy of turning those chips loose! I’ve made a few things, roller pin, candle stick holder, and one bowl. I look forward to reading and watching as well as posting and bugging all of you for help. I have a small Grizzly bench top lathe which is great as I hope to focus on learning the fundamentals of turning and sharpening. Cheers!

Welcome to the forum. Thank you for your service. I live in Lebanon MO ~30 mi from you. I’ve been turning ~12 yrs. You’re welcome to visit my shop. I have a 16” swing lathe, many tools, hollowing system, coring system, and make a lot of my own tools. Come on over for a cup of coffee. I’m retired so available most days. Many turning projects going right now. I turn a lot when its cold, and ride motorcycles when its nice out.
