Hi All
Wanting to set up a good dust collection system.
After much research I fancy the mini gorilla or dust cobra by oneida, which according to the UK distributor could be available over here sometime soon, once an issue with the hertz rating for UK 230v is sorted.
Would love to hear from anyone who has either one, pros/cons etc.

I have the older version of the 1500 which has an internal filter and it does real well. But it is greater than 1000 CFM. The dust cobra I would think is underpowered, but it would depend on duct runs and what tool(s) you want to use on it.

Map out the placement and the runs and do your calculations first to decide what size you need.
 
I have a 3 hp Oneida centralized system in my shop. I could have gotten away with using only 2 hp, but wouldn't have been able to run 2 machines at once, and I do have friends visit. I chose Oneida because they are home made, here in the states by a small business, and their overall quality is second to none. Their claims on amount of air moved and static pressure are accurate, and not inflated at all like some others do.

Oneida's stuff is good, their customer service is gooder. ;)

I have been very pleased with my Dust Gorilla and their help with ducting.

They are a pleasure to worth with when you need help.
