I've got a Monster Hollowing System that I'm not using and would like to sell. It includes everything you see in the photos (except for the bandsaw it's sitting on...Ha!). When I got it there was some mild surface rust on some parts and the battery box was corroded and one of the leads to the diode was broken. So, I completely disassembled it, used EvapoRust to clean up the metal parts, cleaned the bearings and lubricated them, and replaced the battery box and diode. I'm including 2 extra battery boxes and 4 extra diodes. It takes 2 AA batteries and they seem to power it for quite a while. It operates smooth and is a very solid system. It comes with a 3/4" bar with several interchangeable tips and HSS cutters. The end of the bar is turned to 5/8" as that's the size of the hole in the arm where it mounts. I've not used this bar, but instead adapted John Jordan tools (not included) to work with it. John offers his 3/4" tool with the end turned to work with this system, and you can get adapters from John or Home Depot to adapt 3/8" and 1/2" bars to it. You'd just have to drill the side of the adapter sleeve to allow the set screw in the arm to lock it in. Or, buy O-1 tool steel rods and make your own boring bars. The options are pretty much endless with this system. The laser/diode works fine and the dot is much finer than it shows on my hand in the photo. It works on my PM 3520, and I think it would work on a 16" lathe as well, but not sure what other size lathes it will work on. I could measure and see what the range is if you want to know. Located in Maryville, TN. Pick-up here is fine, or I'll ship for whatever it costs me. Just send your zip code for an estimate. I'm looking for $350 plus shipping.
Thanks!
Lynn
