Two things.

1) Please welcome Ken Grunke as a 3rd co-moderator on the AAW forums. Ken is a regular participant. He is also a moderator of the Yahoo AAW Woodturning forum. Thanks to Ken for volunteering.

2) Starting today all new members will be moderated. I'll probably configure it so that once a new member has posted 2 items they will then automatically become "unmoderated". Moderation means that a new posting or a new thread must explicitly be approved by a moderator before the post or thread shows up in the forum. This new policy should reduce our spams down to negligible levels.

thanks from your friendly moderators:
Jeff Jilg
Steve Worcester
and now Ken Grunke

Does this mean that Ken's name will eventually be added to the list of moderators on the forum pages? ;)

Welcome aboard, Ken! Always glad to have another set of eyes watching out for us. That we WE don't have to be so vigilant about what our eyes see and don't see. I'm grateful!

Good idea, Jeff, about the moderated status of the first couple of posts. Has worked really well for a couple of public forums that I help oversee.
