My first open segment

Absolutely gorgeous. Can't wait until I'm at that level, which is probably many years (and catches!) away.
Actually the hardest part was planning the cuts out. Once I got to the point of cutting it was a matter of following the plans cutting and gluing. The turning wasnt to bad either with a bowl gouge that had an irish grind to it. Since the turning was all side grain except the base it cleaned up pretty easy.
