New lathe setup

I've gotten it dirty every day but I'm still cleaning it (actually the whole shop) daily. That will probably wear off soon. Sure is nice having a clean shop though!

What's a clean shop? Do tell...... ;)

(PS - I am curious about the articulated holder for your dust collection hood.....can you describe it, where you got/made it, and how it works..... )

Still playing with the articulating arm. I'd like to have a larger range of moment only using one hand like some lights I've seen. I think the range overall is going to be ok but movements of more than a few inches require loosening and tightening knobs with one hand and positioning with the other. That said, the bulk of my turning doesn't require the dust hood to move much at all. I got that one from the plant where I work but I think it came from rockler.

Thanks! I think I'll have to check into one of those arms - seems very versatile.

Welcome to the club!!!
I just got mine last week, mine is white not gold/yellow as its sold as the Jet 3520b in Europe (personally I prefere the gold and black paint job over white and black!!!)

Have fun, and get that wood spinning !!!

Scott, I got mine abt 2 weeks ago, and I'am still cleaning and polishing it, wonder how long it lasts before I start leaving it dirty on a night

It's sort of like a new car........once you get the first few scratches, there isn't as much rush to get to the car wash! :D
