Back in November, at the conclusion of the segmented symposium, the attendees expressed a desire to form a new “specialized†chapter of the AAW for “segmented turners†(something along the lines of what the ornamental turners have done). I have just posted this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqGPaB4DL_k

to help promote sign-ups for this new organization. If you’re curious about the ’08 segmented symposium, then I invite you to view the YouTube video. If you have a “fast†connection, I also suggest clicking on the “watch in high quality†located near the lower right corner of the video screen. As a first step, towards forming this new chapter, email addresses of interested turners are being collected; international members are welcome. The domain name (website),

http://www.segmentedwoodturners.org/

has been secured for this new association and you can submit your name there.

If you have a passion for segmented woodturning, and if you haven’t already done so, then I encourage you to sign-up. At this time, there are no dues being collected; this is simply an effort to collect names and addresses so that mass email notifications can be done.
