I have started a new moderated Yahoo group called Wood_Mart for selling and trading wood and woodworking (including turning) related products.

Off-topic posts are allowed but replies to off-topic posts are not. There is a format for the subject of posts to help quickly sift through the items available.

The link for the group is:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Wood_Mart/

Thanks :cool2:

Great idea. I travel a bit and would like to exchange wood.
Where is the group?
I went to Yahoo groups. Typed in 'Wood_mart' and come up with nothing.

Err... why not use the (perhaps poorly named) 'Want-ads' forum thats allready set up here? The forum rules on selling and trading seem to be fairly broad and within scope to what you describe. Additionally the discussion there is very light and could use some additional postings.

I (for one) would prefer to have a single environment for learning, trading, etc. all things turning. Additionally, I *really* dislike the forced adds on yahoo groups.

I like your idea, it just seems like there is already a dedicated place. no?
