George Strait says in one of his songs that he hasn't seen a hearse with a luggage rack yet... With that in mind, I pulled the trigger and I just ordered a brand new Stubby S1000. My name was added to their board, and the built will begin shortly. Sold my Union Graduate to a student. There is a 4 month wait, well worth it!!
The owner of Omega Lathes, Rod Caddaye has provided great customer service to a lot of us Stubby owners. Even if you didn't buy from him, he stands by his product. I just also ordered a new VFD for my Stubby S750. That was the clincher, his service was simply amazing. I had to break the news to my 750, her big sister is coming, don't get jealous...

congratulations....I know u must have been agonizing over which lathe to sell and have you counted the total # of possibilities?

OK, go ahead and shamelessly gloat. :D

We'll try to cover for you while you muster up your bearings. :D
I have been having trouble sleeping! I'm so excited about this. I have actually been chating with Rod Caddeye for a few years about this. I'm finally making some money, justifing the expense... My son wants to start helping with the sanding and or roughing some Koa. He always comes to the mountain to help harvest, he has been watching me for years, and has done some turning. He also knows how to cut big koa logs to get the blanks out. I see some production turning in the near future, lol. When you come to Maui Bill, we can both turn with a Stubby! Have a great weekend. Aloha
