Oneway Easy Core System Question

I just assembled my brand new Oneway Easy Core System and I notice that the knife does not rest fully on the support arm. Seems that the post that holds the support arm in not straight. There is a difference of approx. 1/16" from the bottom of the post to the top. This creates an approx. 3/32" gap at the back of the knife when the tip is on the end leading edge of the support.

I have 3 sets of knives and support and they all have the same problem. Likewise, if I reverse the support post the gap is then on the leading edge. Both indicators that the crooked post is the problem.

Is this normal? Should the whole knife rest on the support or just the leading edge?

I visited a couple of friends and their post is straight and their knives rest fully on the support arm.

If you have the Oneway Easy Core could you check this? Like to know if this is the way it supposed to be before I contact Oneway.

I just had a look at mine Ted. I also have 3 sets of knives. Depending on the knife being used, there is a varying gap like your first pick shows and the tip touches the same way. I have used it many times and it has not seemed to affect the operation or cut.
 
It is fine to have a little gap at the tip. The support finger will bend a bit under cutting load. You do not want the gap at the tip.

Oops!!!!!! Guess I should have paid more attention..... Resting on the tip, and slight gap at the base. Maybe the morning coffee hadn't kicked in yet. Sir, would you like room for cream and sugar in your coffee? Nope, just knife and fork!
