Have 2 need one. With this tool you can take small bowl cores without setting up a rig. Raffan has a video on you tube to demo how he uses it. Take cores like Raffan!

Tool in good shape stellite tip is intact w/o chips. Sharpen by hand with a Diamond hone.

Asking $150 plus shipping CONUS

Great, Thanks!
Please let me know the total and how you would like payment. I can do all the usual: Apple, PayPal, venmo etc, or an old fashioned check.

If there is a chance you are coming to Totally Turning in March, you could just bring it up as well.

That burl is awfully tempting!

Angelo,
FYI: It's been a long time since I've seen this Dennis Stewart tool. I watched him using it with awe at demos in the late '80's and early '90's. He advertised his system in the American Woodturner Journal during that time. In fact, he received a US patent on it in 1990. Recently, Carter and Sons Tools has reintroduced virtually the same tool, marketing it under the Mike Mahoney Hollowing System name. No reference to Stewart in their ads, but the patent expired in 2007, so there are no infringement issues.

Looks like a very different tool. Same style arm brace, very different front end!

Paul,
Yes I like this tool very much for taking a quick core. I have all of the variations he made, including the small pistol hollower. I’ll be putting that up for sale shortly
Nice to hear from you
Angelo
