I am the president of the Southeast Georgia Woodworkers Guild and have recently became a AAW chapter which is great but we have more than wood turners in the guild and would like to find other national/international organizations like the AAW for other woodworking fields
 
Here's one: The Furniture Society . I attended their 11th annual conference held in Victoria BC last month...it's a fine bunch of folks, but more of a trade group with a much higher percentage of professionals and wanta-be pros trying to make a living at it than with our little woodturning group.
