These are two Henry Taylor forged spindle gouges. As I understand it, they are drop forged from flat stock as opposed to milled from round stock. The larger gouge has a cocobolo handle and the smaller one has a kingwood handle'
The larger gouge has a blade length of +/- 6" it is +/- 11/16" (out to out not measured in the traditional manner). The handle is +/- 10.5" long.
The smaller gouge has a blade length of +/- 5.25" it is +/- 1/2" (out to out not measured in the traditional manner). The handle is +/- 9.5" long.
The larger Gouge lists for approx. $75. I am guessing the smaller gouge would list for $50. I am asking $70 for the pair plus USPS within the US.
