At a garage sale I purchased a conglomeration of pen making partial kits, bushings, mandrels, gift boxes, alittlo'this and alittleo'that from a fellow who made pens about 20 years ago. From examining some of the parts I began to notice a similarity in various parts but attributed to differently named kits. Maybe I've been looking in the wrong places but there seems to be vary little information on the fact that many different kits contain the same parts - just machined, trimmed out and finished differently. I'm fairly new to pen turning but became intrigued with this idea of interchangeability of parts. Is there a comparison chart out there that show the various models that seem to be from the same family or parents?
