Pinecone sphere in epoxy resin

Today I show you how I made an epoxy resin sphere. It's basically trapped pine cones inside of the epoxy, formed so it has a small stand. After it all hardened, I sanded it down to 500 grit. Afterwards i used my own sanding paste for the finish.

Nice. Looks like a beast of a machine lathe there.

I have been messing around with pine cones lately as well. What kind of epoxy did you use?

The beast is 2.5 tonns
Il us a resin from Amazon, not the best but it works

It looks very nice. The video shows how you turned the sphere after the epoxy cured, but I think that the most important part of the procedure is missing. In order to have a complete procedure I think you should describe or show how you encapsulated the pine cone and what you did to minimize trapped air.

Il put it in a vacuum tank to reduce the air bubbles, for me this was normal so I dosent add it to the movie
