Didn't the POD link used to take you directly to the Gallery of the person that has the POD for further info on that particular work?

The link now goes to the base page of the forum.

POD Link - Homepage

John,
Due to some technical changes, the link no longer works. I plan to post a thread each day with the name of the member and the title of the work if that's OK with everyone.

Hmm - ok, I guess...

I do miss the link from the homepage to the user gallery - its just an html link - how does one break that ?

Hot link the actual image maybe - so clicking on it takes you to that users gallery? :cool2:

I cannot find the comment under the piece that is today's POD saying that it is such. I know when one of my pieces was the POD, the comment on the piece meant a great deal to me.

It is considerably more complicated than that.
With the move to a new domain (aawforums), the database moved. The link on the woodturner.org site cannot get into the database on this site. So a patch had to be done. It is a far more manual process now.

I understand the reasons given for the move.

From a user standpoint, I find the new site more difficult to navigate and sometimes not intuitive at all, the POD issue is one, the search feature for the galleries in somewhat buried, I have learned the path to find it.

You guys have been great at fixing migration issues, and fast as well, the link to the forums from the main page comes to mind. :)

I hope the POD feature can be fixed, it is one of my favorite things about the homepage.

Steve - is the code that rigid?

"The link on the woodturner.org site cannot get into the database on this site" - just curious - why not?

Cheers!
