I can't seem to figure out to post a picture to the main page, where others display their work. Can someone help point me in the right direction.

No I don't seem to be able to. I managed to create a album for myself in my profile area. I give it a try to create a members album (?). Nice to see you ride.

Charles, if you go to the main page of the forums, and click on Members Galleries, you will get a page of photos. Go down to the middle of the page on the far right and click on upload photos. From there it should be pretty straightforward. Let me know how you make out!
It seems my pictures are to large. How do you make them smaller?

Software function. Windows 7 machines can do it in photo viewer or pictures library. Look it up in the help files under "resize photos" to use. Other software requires other ways. Corel has Image (Resize) as does Photoshop.

Too large as in height and width or as in file size or both?
If it is height and width, there are a number of software programs mentioned that can be used. One suggestion about resizing is to use inverse powers of two (1/2, 1/4, 1/8, etc.) for the best image quality when reducing. The worst quality results if reducing by inverse multiples of three (1/3 or 2/3) because angled lines are much more likely to get a case of the "jaggies".
For file size reduction, you can choose "Save for the web" or its equivalent depending on the software. However, it is best to avoid going below 60% image quality to avoid objectionable edge artifacts. At 80%, you would be hard pressed to see the difference between it and a standard JPG, but the file size saving can be substantial.
One of the benefits of AAW membership is the ability to upload much larger images (both in file size and dimensions) to the gallery than the size allowed for non-AAW members.
