Does anyone have experience with a cabled emergency cutoff switch for a Laguna (like the magnetic for PM or Robust)? It is apparently neither available from nor endorsed by Laguna. I do not know where to look for the parts, nor certain where to splice in to wire it without risk to the costly inverter ,etc. Appreciate any comments- thanks.

Carey, I am on this road as well. It needs to be wired in series with the current estop switch.
I am leaning towards this one, because I am lazy, and it is already boxed. I am still checking the amperage.

What about this switch
There are several like this. You might need a different contact arrangement depending on what your lathe uses. Normally open or normally closed contacts.

I looked at a manual for the 1836 and it shows all of the connections but it does not show the contact arrangement of any of the switches or relay therefore it is hard to tell how you would add another E-Stop button. The one thing that is very clear is that the input power goes directly to the drive terminals R & S so the E-stop circuit is not cutting the power off to the drive.
If you could identify contacts in the switches and the relay including the relay coil then it would be possible to determine what is necessary in an add on E-stop switch. The other possibility is to take the existing E-Stop out of the control panel and using a 4 wire cord extend the existing connections.
