replacement papr helmet

I have an old 3M Airmate 3 system (yellow hardhat). It's getting harder to find parts, in particular replacement visors and beard seals for the helmet. I have several blower units and filters are available so I would like to replace the helmet only. I figure I can adapt my hose to a new headpiece. Any recommendations for a helmet substitute, or a source for parts? I know I will have to bite the bullet and get a new system eventually but would like to put it off.

I bet the 3m versaflo head gear would work, though you might need to jerryrig the connection. There's a choice of helmets and I believe it's the 201 that's lower priced and adequate for turning. Probably available on fleabay.

That's probably where I'll wind up when I use up the Airmate consumables. For anyone thinking about a powered air purifying respirator, you can put together a Versaflow system from components on Ebay for <$800.

Or you could just buy the helmet/face shield for <$300, and try to connect it to your existing filter/battery pack 3m 206 helmet

Yes, that's what I meant. Looks like the Versaflow hose is larger, but an adapter shouldn't be too hard.
