The link explains what is needed and where to send the bowls.
But...
When do the bowls need to be sent?

Not to be too picky, is there a minimum size that separates a bowl from say a cup without a handle?

NEOWTA gets involved with the local "Empty Bowls" on an annual basis.
ANY turning that is donated is sold to stock the account of the Empty Bowl Org.
As Ed said, it is for a good cause.

you can find a local empty bowls by going to www.emptybowls.org and doing a search.
Empty bowls itself is a framework for organizations to use to raise money for purchasing food for the hungry.

We have started www.bowlsforhunger.org to put woodturners in touch with empty bowls events in their area and to encourage other clubs and woodturning individuals to get involved.

We would love to get photos and notes on how your club helps local food banks and organizations. Please see the blog on bowlsforhunger for more info
