Hello AAW! New to turning ( just hit 6 months) and have been having the most amazing time. I have always been interested in lathe turning but never made the jump until recently. I reallly enjoy finding local wood and processing my own blanks, primarily into bowls mostly right now. I like the utilitarian aspect of them. Been lurking ok the forum for months, reading and learning, and decided to finally introduce myself. Attached are some of the bowls I have finished, as well as some rough outs that are still drying. Thanks for reading and look forward to a long career of learning and turning 🫡🤝

Welcome to AAW. Take advantage of the many resources. You might have a local chapter in your area. I just joined one in SE TN.
