Salt and pepper mill

have been asked to make a pair of salt and pepper mills. Looking for a way to be able to tell them apart.Hoping someone has a suggestion.

Usually the hardware will be printed with an S and P etched in the tops of the nuts that hold everything together.

Or you can add a holly and ebony band for salt and pepper respectively.

Or you can make one shorter than the other.

Or you can get a magic marker and write salt and pepper on the sides. :eek:
 
Use two different woods.

Walnut for the pepper mill, and maple for the salt mill makes a nice combination.
