Hello all; I've been given a block of Shihuahaco to turn and would like to hear if anyone has the pleasure of working with this Paruvian wood. Thanks turners, Neil
 
no i have not turned any

the wood explorer web site list it as tonka when i search for it
tonka is Turning Fairly Easy to Very Easy
Fair to Good Results

they list 3 or 4 colors with different sapwood

i would be interested to see some turned :D

According to Wood Identification and use by Terry Porter, this wood comes from northern South America and is difficult to work.
