Darn... I was just down in that area... sort of (Bakersfield) looking for some kind of woodworking show.

When are you guys coming to Seattle???

Unfortunately, my photos from the opening were lost, but I am going back with my tripod to take some real photos.

My pieces in the show are Ocelot, my half scale kayak, Ponderosa Radiata with sculptural wall mount, and Desert Flower. I am thrilled to have two whole walls in the main room just for my work.

Directly adjacent to my boat is Sam's fabulous boat-like swinging cradle, one of his natural edge burl slab tables, and a chiffonier from one of the bedrooms.

The gallery really went all out to make a nice show with two colors of new paint and mahogany trim. And curator Dan Stephens told me they might do this show every two years.

Let me know when you might be here, John, and I will try to meet up with you. Cypress College is 40 minutes from my home or sometimes three hours with summer traffic.

Congrats Robert. I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it down there, but if so, I'd love to see the exhibit.

Last day

Tomorrow/Thursday is the last day for this show.

Here are a couple more photos. One shows a Sam Maloof burl top table in the foreground with my work against the two walls. The other photo shows John Cederquist's airbrushed piece with a flying fish. I've seen them fly a couple hundred feet down wind, when I was windsurfing.

Thanks, Odie. Friday is the pickup day.
