Shrink size of photo

I am not a computer expert however after lot of tries to reduce a photo this is how I acomplished it. I emailed the picture to myself. That gave me a choice to change the size to "best for email". Then I saved the picture. (Should have given the a picture a proper name at that time). The picture I saved was of a proper size to post. You all may have a simpler way but this may help somebody.
Now I have to learn to take better pictures and edit them.

If you are using Microsoft Windows XP, you can use the photo editor that comes with it to do this quite easily also.

Here's a link to a photo resizer that works great: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx Unfortunately, I believe it only works for XP. All you have to do is install the free software, right click on the photo and follow the directions.
