Good evening, I recently joined this group as I plan to start turning wood with an old Grizzly Lathe I recently acquired. I’ve done other sorts of woodworking for fun but a brand new to wood turning.

I’d like to be able to use bowl goudges and such, but ran into an issue with understanding how the spur drive on this is removed. I’d look up a manual but am having a challenging time locating one.

This is Grizzly Model G-1025, if anyone could assist with how to remove this and also any suggestions for attachments to use once removed, would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!

Looks like a thread on drive. Put a wrench on the two flats and one on the spur hex to loosen.
Yes sir, that appears to be what it is. I also just got Grizzly on the phone and they are advising it’s threaded. Thank you, I appreciate you responding to this post. I hope to have some projects completed that I can share with the group in the near future!
