Meals, except for the (extra cost) Sat banquet, are on your own. IDK about Raleigh specifically, but generally convention centers have some sort of food options (snack bar, deli, or something). Also, looking at a map, there are a number of places within walking distance.
Been a while, but some symptoms have cafeteria style sub making, chips, salad stuff with tables set up. Lines moved pretty good, so in & out. I guess I could bring my lunch.
You would be better off bringing a lunch. The AAW Symposiums generally have not so good assortment of food. On occasion there have been decent foods available in the back of the trade show.
There are some decent food options within easy walking distance from the symposium in Raleigh. We generally pack snacks though.

Charlie, there will be various food locations in the Convention center, where the Trade Show and Instant Gallery are. Those areas are open to the public, without having to pay a Symposium attendee fee. But has been noted already, it can be hit and miss as to the health of the offerings. Some Convention centers have had exceptional food, healthy and tasty. Others, not so much.
