I have seen them and they are all full of burls. What a waste. Someone needs to convince the park service to give them to us.

If you want to save on the red tape and confusion just talk to the tree service taking them down.

Hey, Al @hockenbery , can you get some of your former club members to contact the NPS and see about making use of some of these 150 trees? The NPS is first rate at obstructive red tape, but maybe somebody can get through in time.
