Just signed up for the forum on the AAW site. I see there are restrictions on two areas of the forum. Is this site independent of your AAW MEMBERSHIP?

I am a hobby Woodturners and live in Canton, Georgia. I have been turning for ten years and belong to three woodturning clubs in my area. I have pieces in local galleries, and participate in our local arts & crafts fair. I make mostly bowls, platters, and hollow forms. Thank you for allowing me to join your forums.

Yep. Pretty much. non-AAW members CAN join the forum but they do have some limitations to what they can post in, limitations on picture sizes (I believe) and a few other "AAW member-only" features

As I understand it, the Forum is basically a "sanctioned" AAW member-run forum, but not directly a part of the Association as a whole but otherwise basically accessible to the general public.

Thank you Brian for the quick response. I was unaware that none members had access. I am an AAW Member so I’ll wait my 30 days to post on the tool sale form.

30 days plus 10 posts I believe , so you need to up your post count. Probably may as well add your personal intro here which is what this particular introductions forum is for - in any case, welcome to AAW and the forum!
