These objects look so much like real cans that I can't imagine the process required to make them. If anyone has information, please let us know. Is this in the realm of Jacques Vesery's work? I'm quite certain that it far exceeds my turning skills, just curious.

I'm not seeing it. 
I believe Terry is referring to this photo in the gallery.
A little digging found Guilluame Fontaine is the turner. It’s fig turned green and finished with orche and graphite using techniques of Hubert Landri.
I thought the rust might have been wood filler rubbed on and not sanded but my guess was wrong. Now I’m wondering how Monsieur Landri applies the finish.
