Turn a Menorah?

Interesting project
From the Internet -
According to rabbinic law, a modern menorah can be made of anything, as long as it includes the following: eight separate oil or candle holders…..
A Hanukkah menorah, sometimes called a hanukkiah, has branches for nine candles—one for each night of the holiday, plus the shammash. According to Jewish law, the eight main branches must all be perfectly aligned, standing at the same height and in a straight line.

This one can be turned and sawn and glued together

The stem can be an inside out turning or a slice from a deep vase or two bowl slices

Another thought on the traditional looking one is turn deep grooves in a disk.
These can be left joined and guided or painted by not cutting through
or cut through and glued up.

You could also used a combination of wood and metal cut thick brass rings or bend brass rod around a turned form

One potentially interesting way is to use a coring system. Start with a bowl blank and then core concentric circles, but leave the cores connected to the whole. Center candle can be made with a scraper or something. Afterward, use a bandsaw to cut a slice from the middle. Then turn a stand. You could center use paper joints and cut out the bandsaw step. Could be an interesting version?

Good ideas here and above as well. I was not aware that they hade to be in a straight line-- Good thing I didn't make a round one for my Rabbi friend!
