So I have a small business selling kits for woodturners and others made from Damascus steel like the pen or holder or pizza cutter in the picture below. What I am looking for is ideas of otherkits or parts that woodturners would like. Damascus steel looks so good with wood especially burls but I need some ideas for kits

Letter opener kits were my first I have over a dozen different ones in multiple sizes and styles

I like the ulu knife idea. Lately I added a war hammer and am working up a matching axe both for turned handles

An observation about striking tools (hammers, mallets, axes, etc.) with round handle holes- with time, the striking forces can cause the head to rotate on the handle. Out-of-round holes, with a handle carved to match the hole and then also wedged in place, will keep the head and handle in the proper alignment for years to come.

I like your steel war hammer….what about making a two sided hammer….both ends hammer functional…perhaps one side small and one size like what is shown. A Mallet style. That’s a cool hammer!

Excellent point I had never considered it. Not that I see these war hammers being used all that much I want them to be functional. I will incorporate the idea in the next batch

I do have a regular hammer as well that is sort of double sided. I think some have used them as walking stick handles also. They are a heavy chunk of steel

I know several fabric artists and there are some tools specific to sewing, weaving, felting, etc. and there are few options to get high quality tools. Seam rippers come to mind first.

We are working on a axe to match the war hammer these are some in process shots. You can see we took your advice to elongate the hole
