My selection for Turning of The Week for August 23 is by Heather Marusiak. Her Captive Goblet is a well-turned piece, that combines skills in turning and carving. First, an end-grain turning of the cup portion, with wonderfully thin walls. That wasn't enough, as Heather decided to use the stem portion of the goblet to hand-carve a chain. Heather tells us in her Introduction to this forum that she has been a carver for a while and is new to turning. Welcome, Heather, we are so glad you picked up a turning tool.
