Turning of the Week for December 5, 2022

My, but it's getting difficult to decide......so many new forum members with outstanding contributions to the photo gallery!

For this week, December 5, 2022, my choice for TOTW, is the Osage Orange vase, titled "Recycled" By Steve Nix.

I am a fan of natural components of turnings, and this one is a great example of that!

Nice choice—this one is beautiful! The polished wood contrasts so nicely with the lichen-encrusted patina. Wonderful.

I love it. It makes me think of how many old Osage Orange (Bois D'arc in these parts) fence posts I've cut up and burned before I started turning.

I also used to see a felled tree as just a felled tree. Now I wonder how many good bowl blanks a felled tree contains.
