Many times simplicity of form wins out over complexity, especially when it highlights the natural beauty of the wood as Marc Banka has done with his Sweetgum Calabash bowl. The beauty of the shape, clean lines and attention to details like the carefully formed rim lines are also factors for why I have chosen Marc's bowl as the Turning of the Week for the week beginning 6 DEC 2021.
