I absolutely love it when it's my turn to choose the TOTW, a picture pops up in the first few minutes, and you know that's the one. This week's honor, albeit a few days late, goes to Dave Bell for his magnificent work, "Torus Teapot."
I can appreciate the hard work, patience, and determination that it took to complete this project. It started with a vision, and 8 months later, we can see the fruits of his labor. Spalted Tamarind is a beautiful timber, not easy to spalt, or very easy to go from spalt to punk. I would have guessed the Torus was the most difficult part, but, having done a few handles, I know they are not easy. Overall, a beautiful teapot with a nice combination of different woods.
Congratulations Dave!!
