Turning of the Week for October 10, 2022

My choice for TOTW October 10th 2022, is Cody Walker's Maple Calabash bowl. I'm far from knowledgeable about what a proper Calibash should be, but since our resident expert @Emiliano Achaval has already given his approval in the comment section, I figure it's a safe bet for TOTW. What impresses me is the figuring on this piece.....a true gift from Mother Nature to be admired!

Excellent choice Odie!! The timber selection is beautiful and the shape is just right. Perfect bottom, a David Chung calabash any way you look at it. Well done.

I don’t know how I missed seeing it in August, but thank you Odie for your thoughtfulness in selecting this calabash bowl for the turning of the week. I am planning on using this bowl as a model.
