I completed two new items today: a small jar and a cigar ashtray. For the cigar ashtray I relied heavily on advice I received from you all in this forum. It was much appreciated. Thank you!

I was not sure how to make the four grooves in the ashtray exactly aligned, the same depth and same round shape. I started by calculating the spacing, cutting a small groove with the router, expanding it with a rasp then wrapping a 1” copper pile with various levels of sandpaper and sliding it back and forth using opposing grooves as a guide.
