Used VS Mini Lathe

Tom--i've got a Delta 46-460 that i'd part with. Had to replace the potentiometer, so the 1-10 dial isn't on it. Would come with a bed extension, as i would have no reason to keep it. Probably turned a few hundred pens on it, but for the last 5 years or so has only been used at times for buffing. If interested i could do some pictures for you. Located in LaPorte, IN...there's a sand sculpture show in Michigan City this weekend if you need incentive to drive down!!

Thanks Earl, not too interested in looking at sand sculptures, but I would like to know how much you'd expect to sell the lathe for. And, yes, some pics would be good.

Tom,
I used this lathe for a number of hands on for my club (we started with rounded pieces so the slow speed was not important). It has performed very well with no problems. I had 11 lathes in the shop and when I sold some I decided to keep this one for a pen lathe and it really performs well (especially for what I paid for it, shipping on some of the lathes I bought were darn near what I paid for this one).

Sorry for the delay--late night followed by an early morning. Couple of quick pics, the 3rd one shows the miniature speed control knob. The original tool rest and faceplate (3"??) and wrenches included, as well as that wooden tool rack. If,i can find a few of the other 5/8" tool rests i have, those would come with also. I think i have another buff system--if i find that, the old one can come with. No digital read-out, but i use a $20 amazon hand-held tach for my Robust Sweet 16 when i really need one. Low speed is 250, high shows 4,000--okay range for small diameter, though a bit fast for a 4"+ bowl. I'm thinking $350 or so, and could meet somewhere south suburbs. Most of the dust will not be included. There are a few rust spots on that extension, surface and should clean up okay. Looks like i splattered water or wet shavings off my little Rikon behind this one. Offers considered--i have too much stuff, and with my wife's medical conditions i'm not able to get much "shop time" for the past year or so.
