I'm from Portugal and I'm 62 years old.
From a very young age, I have been passionate about working with wood.
I started with some used hobby machines.
Years ago, I started building a lathe for wood, with used parts from the machines I repair. I'm field service engineer from Siemens-Healthineers.
On last august bought a JET 1840 lathe. The other one is very limited.
I started with segmented turning, with the JET 1840, after having made a few bowls.
My workshop is in a cave; however, I’m planning to build a new space in the yard to put all my machines and tools. I also have a basic CNC machine by 1000x600 [mm].
The last ( and first big) project was a vase with 684 segments in 38 slices. The next ones will be based in normal and twisted staves.
