I just went up to the shop and tried it. It didn't work for me do you know what kind of chisel he was using :)
 
Mine must be broken , it only spins the wood in the opposite direction.:confused::mad:
 
It works perfectly on the Robust American Beauty. I have really saved a lot of wood since getting a lathe with that feature.

If you ever notice on a demo with a spring pole lathe that the turner momentarily moves the tool back on the rewind because otherwise they would never get a piece finished.

-:( you missed slight of hand. It is just an ordinary lathe :-(
