Oh, you wouldn't believe how good it is! Tom, the host, has one of these<click> to roast the butterflied pig in, and the meat literally falls off the bone, absolutely fantastic. He has a big shop in the Fremont district of Seattle (was an old theater 100 years ago), with a nice side-yard. Tons of fun. I'll see if I can wrangle you an invite for 2017.:)

The biggest difficulty in turning harder woods, is that you just have to go slower. This wood was growing at 8500 feet out side of Las Wages (Vegas), so extreme weather for heat and cold. Called Mahogany because of the deep red color. Allen Batty said it is the only North American wood suitable for hand chasing threads. No silica or oil in it, and one that just glows when sanded and finished.
