I recently purchased the wood cut bowl saver max 4. It appears my largest blade, the max blade, will not fully seat into its holder. I have about 7/8 of an inch before the metal on top blocks it from fully going in. Does anyone know if this is a normal situation with the system? I’ve seen pictures on the Internet with the blade fully seated and some not.

Many Thanks!

Hi Eric, firstly an introduction my family owns Woodcut Tools and I was therefore involved in the design of the Woodcut Bowlsaver Max4. I can confim that it is part of the product design that the Max Blade or Knife as some people refer to it doesn't seat completely in the slot. We have designed this product to be versatile, the feedback we received is that turners want to adjust the position of the Blade in the slot to achieve different cuts or bowl shapes. Please let me know if we can support you further. Best regards Dan
