Does anyone know of one? I have a friend who wants to get started. She has apparently bought a small lathe from Rockler. She is in Port Angeles, WA, on the sound NE of Seattle.

Thanks for any info.

Tony

There are a lot of AAW chapters in Washington. Here is a link to the page on the AAW site that allows you to look up all of those chapters: http://www.woodturner.org/?page=Chapters

It looks to me that the Olympic Peninsula Chapter in Bremerton would be the closest. Here is a link to their clubs website: http://www.opcaaw.com/ Contact information is on the site.

I hope this helps.

Happy turning
Tom

Yup, that's us

The meetings are the -last- (not fourth) Wed of every month in Bremerton. Yes that is an hour away, but there are half-a-dozen members in PA, two (John and Jackie) of which seldom miss a meeting and car-pooling is not impossible.

The topics for the rest of the year are:
July: Shop Tips (maybe a visit from the Fire Marshall, but I suspect they are going to cancel)
Aug: Finishing technics
Sept: Christmas Ornaments
Oct: Segmented Turning
Nov: Mini-sessions (sharpening, tool control, and goblets are already scheduled)

Yup, I'm the guy that does the programing.
The current club president is on this forum, as is the previous club president.
