While this is not about turning I need some help.

This might be a subject which is controversial, but I am looking for plans to make easy giveaway wood projects for girls (about 100 at a time). I can find nothing. I have small wooden cars that I make as giveaways for boys but finding something easy, fast and cute for girls is very hard. So far all I have is little hair berets.

If anyone knows of something for girls please let me know.

Many thanks!

bangles are pretty quick you can glue up staved cylinders of several different diameters To fit over small hands.
turn the outside round, use a vee sled to Bandsaw the rings, finish turn.
can also turn them from limbs

Spin tops are always popular. we Give them away as we turn them at places like the state fair.
often a line of 2-3 waiting. Girls outnumber boys about 2-1.

Jewelry pendants are super-fast. I do some with sandblasting. You can also mark patterns with texturing wheels.
two holes will make the pendant lie flat with a nice cord.

Two things that I have found that go down well are Fairy Clocks and Lidded Jewellery Boxes.

All the best

Perhaps wands. When my granddaughter (age 7) visited last month, one of her main goals was to turn something on my lathe. One of the things she wanted to turn was a wand, since she is a Harry Potter fan. She even made a second one for her cousin. She actually was more interested in turning than the specific things made.

Hair beads are a great way to use up small scraps of wood. Make them as simple or as fancy as you want.

You can do a bandsaw horse similar to the bandsaw reindeer a lot of people are doing right now. You could even turn a horn and make it a unicorn.

I also really like this simple bird done on the lathe. It is very expensive for such a simple design. A couple other ideas I did last year. Too bad I am so far behind this year.
