Yellow striped bowl

Yellow striped bowl

13" x 3" sycamore utility bowl. I have been experimenting with color on a few of my utility bowls. The inside is completely food safe and meant to be used. The outside has some color added, bordered with a couple burnt bands.
Very handsome bowl.
How did you do the "burnt bands"? They look interesting.
And, what is the interior finish? Looks great.

@Tom Albrecht The burnt bands are done with a home made burning tip made from nichrome wire wrapped around a nail. Got the idea from Molly Winton years ago from her basket weave burning patterns. The inside is sanded to 600 grit then sealed with polymerized tung oil sealer then buffed.
