13" tall Ceramic mechanism, Watco and Wipe-on Poly finish

This black cherry bowl is approx. 9" in diameter and was turned to about 3/32". It was then pierced to the point that it became spring-like when compressed. Sorry for the crummy picture, I hadn't gotten a decent camera at this point.

Base, lid and finial -Cherry. Collar - Royal Palm. Box - Jatoba, turned on 3 axes. Finial elements painted and color matched glass beads inset on four sides. Pearl on top. 7 inches tall. 2 inches max diameter.

Brazilian Cherry Wood coffee Mug

I don't offend have a chance to turn spindles but my wife's beautiful counted cross-stitch needle work picture needed a frame. Its cherry approx. 17"x32". It was a fun change from bowl, vases, etc.

This is a hollow form I turned from a piece of cherry. I didn't like the grain on it so I coated it with black gesso and then burnished the ridges to make them shiny which makes a nice contrast to the matte finish in the recesses. I couldn't get a good detail photo, but it makes a nice textured...

Black Cherry with an antique oil finish. Rim and foot are burnt. 12-1/2" x 3-1/2". Feedback welcomed.

This was just for fun. Always wanted to try one of these. 5-1/4" x 3". Finished with Seal-A-Cell (that was fun), and buffed.

Measures 4-3/4" diameter x 3-1/2" tall. Dyed red with the rim left natural and dimpled with Dremal. Finished with wipe on gel poly and beall buffed.

The box is a fairly early turning for me. I got really LUCKY with the Pagoda-like finial (I was trying for 3 steps, this was all I could get). Tre-wax finish. The box is 3 1/8 inches in diameter by 4 3/4 inches high.
