Simple walnut bowl 8-3/4" diameter X 3" tall. Found this piece of walnut in the burn pile at a north Alabama saw mill. Actually it was a slab about 18" wide and almost 4 ft. long. Has some cracks but will get some nice blanks out of it.
And I'm one of them. What is your combination to develop that lovely finish, or am I asking the wrong question? I suspect there's a fair amount of sanding involved too.

Really nice work.

To anyone who is interested in my finish process send me an e-mail at (p_marken@bellsouth.net) and I will send you a PDF document on my finishing process.
