Large Hollow form, vessel or bowl. 11 in. in dia. and 12 in tall. Not sure what kind of wood as it was left on my door step last summer. Rough turned it and tried to dry it in alcohol but it cracked and warped so filled with turquoise.
Mine's doing fine, too. Just a thought for you, however. I had problems with bases on goblets and bottoms of boxes until I decided that setting them on a solid base was only promoting unequal drying. Top would dry and crack while the bottom was still dark with moisture. Thus the elevating skids on my betting "vessel" as pictured.

Last dozen attempts with thinner undercut bases have been successful, so I figured I'd take a flyer on something thicker.

When I took it out of the alchohol I set it in the garage to dry for a few days and when the oder was tolerable I transfered it to my basement and set it on a wire rack. Two large cracks on top two on the bottom, thickness at the base is about 1/2 in. The inside is a different story though, full of small cracks that didn't go all the way through. Hey but the bark stayed on!
